K'an Joy Chitam I is portrayed on the West Side of the Sarcophagus in the tomb below the Temple of the Inscriptions. This is an ancestral portrait, commissioned by K'inich Janab' Pakal I and executed over 100 years after K'an Joy Chitam I's death.
